GTE; Genuine Temporary Entry

Case number: *******

32 Dec 2020

To Whom It May Concern,
RE: GTE

I, Nooring JOOBJOOB, am writing this statement to support my appeal against the decision to refuse my student (subclass 500) visa application. My reason for travelling to Australia is to undertake vocational training. I would like to give assurances that it is my genuine intention to stay in Australia temporarily, returning home once I have finished my studies.

My motivation for seeking to travel to Australia is solely to study and, having done so, to return home. I have chosen to pursue a career in the beauty industry because it is a passion of mine and I enjoy learning about beauty more broadly.

Further, having attained a qualification from a reputable Australian institution will provide me with a strong point of difference in the Thai job market, and thus improve my prospects for employment. I trust in the quality of the education system in Australia and this confidence is shared by many in Thailand. As such, I believe that a qualification from Australia will equip me to pursue a fulfilling career path and increase my attractiveness to prospective employers. I believe, enable me to develop a deeper understanding of the essential skills that will be needed in my future career. By building my knowledge in the area of beauty and providing me with a reputable qualification, my studies will enable me to pursue fulfilling and gainful employment in that field on my return to Thailand.

All my enrolled courses, I have completed. I am a diligent student who is eager to learn. My temporary entry is genuine.

As I was just graduated from year 12 (high school) from Thailand. I didn’t know much about the higher education system in Australia. The 1st course that I studied was the Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management. It was chosen for me by the student agent that I used. I have completed the course even though I didn’t really like it. I didn’t want to quit or change the course because it was my 1st course in Australia. And I didn’t want to have any problems with Australian immigration. Hence, I push it through, even though, it was not really my passion.

Until I have found my true self that my passion is in the beauty industry. I enrolled in the Diploma of Beauty Therapy and Diploma of Salon Management. I have completed them. I truly enjoy myself with the course and the knowledge that I have got. I now have a more concrete plan of what I want to do when I return to Thailand.

I am now enrolling in the Diploma of Social Media Marketing. This will be the last course in Australia before I return home to Thailand. I know that I have been here in Australia for quite some time and it is now time for me to return home, after that I finished this course.

During the COVID pandemic, it is quite proven that most of the businesses that survive the pandemic are businesses that have a strong online presence, usually via social media. Hence, the course that I am about to study; Diploma of Social Media Marketing is quite important in today marketplace. Usually with the COVID situation that is going on worldwide. I strongly believe that this course will equip me with either a strong job prospect and even if one day I want to set up my own venture, the course will equip me with all the knowledge that I need to stand out and survive in the marketplace.

I believe that I can demonstrate clear and compelling incentives to return to Thailand at the completion of my studies. All of my family members live there; it is my native land. After I graduate from my course, I will return to Thailand in order to be closer to them. My parents are in Thailand and it is my intention to look after and provide for them in their old age. In Thailand, it is common to care for one’s elderly parents and this is a commitment that I feel strongly about. This, I feel, constitutes a strong incentive for me to return to Thailand.

I contact my parents via a mobile phone application daily.

Please be assured that it is my genuine intention to return to Thailand at the expiration of my visa. Please kindly consider my visa application.

Kind Regards,
